We are renting out the house we inherited from my mother in law. Apparently there is a heat wave happening right now. The AC unit went out on the house so we found a HVAC company to go check it out. They found out that only the filters on the furnace needed to be replaced. They could have totally screwed us and install a new unit and we would have been none the wiser. I've had the best luck with honest people in that city. Makes me love to visit there.

That is All

You may mention the company by name if you wish. One good turn deserves another.

Honest and nice... I moved to the KC metro from Seattle 7 years ago. When I first arrived, I was on an elevator - it stopped and a married couple got on. The elevator started going again and they said "Hi! How are you doing today?".

I was so startled I jumped a foot in the air! I was from Seattle - you NEVER talked to people in the elevator - eye contact and head bob, maybe - but a "Hi! How are you doing today?" Not a chance... Seattle Freeze you know...

Love it here - not only did I escape what WA has become, but folks here are awesome! Smile

No kidding. I have never been treated poorly anywhere in MO. Same goes for the southern states, wonderful people.

Yep good people and heatwave is an understatement. Supposed to get a nice feels like temperature of 110 tomorrow....pool or inside only type of weather.

There are 3 kinds of people, those that understand numbers and those that don't.

I lived in the KC area from 1984 until very early 1999. I moved there after living in Madison Wisconsin for 6 years. The folks in KC were much more friendly than the people in Wisconsin as well.

Thanks for the tip. I'll share with my relatives in KCMO. I grew up there, mostly.

One of the many reasons we decided to move back home to KCMO after retirement instead of staying in Virginia.

"All great things are simple, and many can be expressed in single words: freedom, justice, honor, duty, mercy, hope."

--Sir Winston Churchill

"The world is filled with violence. Because criminals carry guns, we decent law-abiding citizens should also have guns. Otherwise they will win and the decent people will lose."

Great choice Cliff. I can't take the humidity or I would be there in a heartbeat. I love that place.
