mbinkyAs far as availability I will say I see it more and more. Besides the NFC symbol I have been seeing more "Apple Pay Accepted" on the readers. Two days ago I was at a mom and pop hardware store in the ENC buying HVAC filters and as I was paying (cash) I noticed the readers with a big "Apple Pay" icon on them.
I like to budget in cash but the prevalence of Apple Pay and the security make me want to use it more and more. I can't wait until I see it at the gas pumps around here. That's where I have had my CC skimmed the most (last time someone bought two tickets to Earth Wind and Fire to the tune of $400 bucks...I mean, c'mon, at least invite me! And $400 bucks? Better have included backstage passes...I hope you enjoyed the concert, assholes...)

Oooh I was so Mad! Outside one gate there are two gas stations. I hit the one on the right as I was heading up the street. Swiped the card, pumped, moved on. ensigmaticSo my Apple Watch arrived yesterday. Got it set up with my iPhone and Apple Pay. Went to the hardware store to get some parts for a small project. Noticed the Apple Pay symbol on the PoS terminal. Had to ask the young lady who helped me find the parts I need how to use it
. (I'd noticed she was wearing an Apple Watch, too.)
What a hoot! Double-click the long button on the side, choose your card, hold it near the terminal. Couple *beep*s from the terminal, indicators flash and done!
Worked at the self-scan checkout it Meijer Thrifty Acres, too.

If it was the Earth Wind and Fire concert at the Biltmore Estate, $400 bucks is about right for the premium tickets. And they were there a year or two ago. You should have crashed the party, it's a beautiful place.
