ShaqlAnyone else's phone not ringing when calls come in -Vzw
My android phone and now my work IOS phone are not ringing when people call. I would have thought it was due to the latest android update but it happened today with my work phone as well.
It happens both at home (Ga) and in Virginia as well.
Anyone else having the same issue with Verizon?

Hedley Lamarr: Sorry, I just remembered . . . I am armed.

signewtYes, odd changes spontaneously shut off 'ring's on multiple occasions....S9+ now 11 months old. Verizon based.

armoredI have noticed the same thing on my Iphone.
I though it was just me.
I have AT&T.

WolfpackerMy wife’s phone has done this from time to time. Both for calls and texts. We typically find a setting of some sort that magically has changed without our input. Typically have to go to multiple screens to change it back. Don’t believe it could be done accidentally.
Can’t live with them or without them.

AnubismpHappened to me once on Google Fi with a Pixel. Might have just been doing something else and swiped inadvertently though.

BeancookerQuestion to everyone...
When was the last time to restarted your phone? Issues like this are almost always fixed with a restart. I restart mine at least once a week. Most of the different issues I hear that people have, I have never encountered.

henryaz I always silence my iPhone (with the side button) when going into a Doctor's office. Typically I'll spend a couple of days afterward wondering why my phone isn't ringing.

joel9507I have found the DND (do not disturb) feature on my Android phone turning itself on.
I've never in my life enabled it - I am more than capable of turning on/off the phone and/or changing the ring volume when I need to.
At any event, I suggest the OP check settings to see if there is something going on with "DND" settings, whether it's maybe been enabled on a schedule, or maybe getting turned on inadvertantly by a set of actions that the OS arbitrarily decided meant you didn't want to be disturbed.

If it was every call, I'd understand but it's not every call. But no, it's not enabled.

np149Yes. I missed a few calls last week. Caller said it went straight to voicemail. I had the ringer on and the phone was next to me. I thought it was just me. Glad to hear I was not the only one.

trapper189I've had this happen in areas of poor reception. Unfortunately within the last two years, Verizon's coverage hasn't been as good as it has been in the past in the same places we travel.

When I bought my phone the salesman said I should shut it off once a week.

The last 'mandatory update' a couple months back left a warped, twisted hulk that required several visits to the help store & about 3 weeks to iron out.
Some of which is maybe 'OK' as it forces me to learn more about basic operational controls.
I change settings ever few weeks to learn more about just what the features are.
It has lots of features I'll ~never~ use.

Excam_ManHappens occasionally.
What gets me is how telemarketers are some how doing this and going straight to VM. Which you then have to listen to the VM to find out if its an important message or not.
Happens all the time with certain telemarketing companies.
