Is this debt different, is it special because it's a "Student Loan".

Or is it just money owed to the government?

You borrowed money= Pay It Back.

I've got credit card debt I'd like someone else to pay? Why is this any different?

I want the bank to forgive my mortgage.
I want Visa to forgive my credit card debt.
I want the IRS to forgive my taxes for the next 20 years.
I want the wife to forgive me for whatever the frack she thinks I did wrong this week.

Oh, and I want a unicorn pony that farts rainbows and gum drops.

So the people that don't understand economics and are working low wage dead end jobs will stimulate the economy. Right.

Well, since we have neither a car loan, house loan, student loan (actually any debt) I must object! Big Grin

As far as the snowflakes getting their student loans forgiven . . . Screw them. Don't give a shit that there are not many openings for those who studied idiotic shit, run by some idiot "professor".

We had exactly one of those at the University of MD, When I was there back in 1972-77, Class was called, "psychology of death". Guaranteed "A" according to some buddies of mine. Figured since I was paying tuition, books, etc I should be getting something worth while out of it.

Hey, they're is the submissive position of asking for a favor. Maybe they'll agree to identifying characteristics and the method of checking. Otherwise, no, pay up.

First kind sirs an misses, before we talk about foisting your responsibilities off on other folks, return to the college or university, fountain of knowledge, that trained you to think this is a reasonable course of action ... and request, no demand a refund or at least a significant reduction of your financial obligation.

Let us know how that goes, it should provide a good starting point.

Sure... So I guess that means those of us who paid their student loans off responsible should be getting a reimbursement check as well? Shitheads.

A reimbursement check with interest that equals the stock market performance for the 30 years that have elapsed since I paid my student loans off.

Whoa there fella. That's a pretty broad assumption. I think more than half of gov't jobs could be done away with and there'd be no negative impact on the community or economy.

As for debt forgiveness, I'm headed down to the Porsche dealer tonight and getting a modest 911 4S. Then in 30 days when the first payment is due, I'll ask the gov't to pitch in. You know, to stimulate the economy!

Who wouldn't want their student loan debt paid off?

That doesn't make it fair or the right policy.

just GREAT!!!! We should write off the NATIONAL debt too.....what a BONUS economic stimulation that would be!!!!!!

Well.... we kind of are.
By "monetizing the debt".
