This version of the picture shows a CTSFO patch, indicating "Counter Terrorist Specialist Firearms Officer," a unit from the Metropolitan Police. I believe today was their first real operational deployment since being formally stood up.

Nice find. You can also make out the CTSFO patch here:

Here's more CTSFO from today's incident. It looks like this squad had more time to suit up.

London police believe they have identified the Parliament attacker, but will not name him publicly at this point, Metropolitan Police Acting Deputy Commissioner Mark Rowley said Wednesday.

If his name was Jimmy Smith and he was a skinhead, we would have known within 5 minutes of the attack. We would have his complete family history, every politician he has supported, home address, everything.

We all know this to be true from past experience - they withhold the name as long as humanly possible so the coverage will diminish and something in the next news cycle bubbles to the top and the masses are no longer paying attention.

And yes, they are playing the 'unknown motive' game as well.

Well then, guess I'll try to keep an open mind about the new levels of bullshit they can spew about this. I swear these people are all members of some cult, and illogical viewpoints are the cornerstone of thier beliefs.

In Australia the "immigrants" resorted to surveilling the police with drones. The threat is real, the solution is singular.

Before the flames get too high regarding what some folks perceive that the Mayor of London said, let's rewind a month or two to the official document of what he REALLY said -

Quote - '...Part and parcel of living in a great global city is you have to be prepared for these sorts of things, you have to be vigilant, you have to support the police doing an incredibly hard job, you have to support the security services.'

Quite how that offers tacit support or tolerance for acts of terrorism, I really can't imagine.

Seen in full context, his comment really is sort of innocuous. Here's his chance though to come out and fully condemn these terrorist attacks and ISIS in particular. And I don't mean the regular lip service. I want to hear forceful condemnation and a call out to fellow British Muslims to assimilate to Western culture and reject the backward, hateful teachings of their radical Islamic brethren. But don't ask me to hold my breath.

still not releasing name, but

- attacker was born in Britain

- previously been investigated for suspected extremism by MI5 several years ago

- suspect was not “part of the current intelligence picture”.

Horse shit. He's a Muslim apologist, making excuses for his psychopathic Muslim buddies.

I'm going to suggest to you guys to move the conversation away from the mayor of London, because I suspect some in this thread would really not care for what I have to say about that pig and his lies.

That guy looks vaguely familiar. I watched a documentary....either on Netflix or Amazon Prime....which followed a radical Islamic mouthpiece in England. Hopefully, it was him.

Yep. We had one of those in the White House. And look how that worked out...

Ft. Hood
Boston
Chattanooga
San Bernadino
Orlando

and probably more I can't recall right now.

And how many of those had been under investigation or previously investigated for ties to terror?

And in those last three, it was always "not going to release the names" and all that blah-blah horseshit. "Not sure of the motives" yada yada nonsense.

Dude has Mohammed in his name and a black ISIS flag up on the wall in his living room, but we can't be sure. It's some Sherlock Holmes shit.
