I would say these days are so wacko that if someone would have posted even 1/4 of what has actually happened in the past 5 years as a prediction back when I first joined the forum nearly 20 years ago that they probably would have been called insane and banned on the spot...And rightfully so. Even the most jaded cynic or satire writer could not have predicted what has actually transpired.

Absolutely true! And, what is more, the above collection of insanities constitutes the world view not only of the leftoids scattered throughout society, but also of the leaders of the Democrat Party, the whole entertainment industry, the main stream media, and much-- maybe most-- of academia. And, increasingly, corporate America.

I just retired from academia. If someone had told me even a decade ago that free speech would be shut down on most college campuses, I would have laughed. C'mon now. That's crazy.

As I read the list in the OP, I kept thinking this is the "world" that young people are exposed to. This is "their" world. Their "normal".

They don't know it is not logical, not based on truth, or supportive of the beliefs that made our country the most free and prosperous in the world.

It may not seem like much, but we can keep pointing out the obvious absurdity of all these things. The "king has no clothes" comes to mind.

OMG this is so true. My wife and I have 4 young adult offspring 19 to 31. The changes which we have experienced are an unknown to them. They can't conceive of our "normal", let's say 1990. They have no reference. They don't understand the concept of "undoing" the damage caused by previous administrations. Their baseline is what we are trying to "undo" and they don't understand why.

No, don't despair.

This is not the whole country, and I think we will find out in the election that it is not even a big part of the country. Extreme leftists have taken over the Democrat Party, the media, academia, and so on. But I think that even many traditional Democrat voters, liberals, are as appalled as we are by this insanity.

Correct. Here in UK, where this report came from, people from The Indian sub-continent, including India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, ARE referred to as Asians, after the continent/sub-continent on which their homeland is located.

People from Indonesia, Japan, C#china and so on, are referred to as having Eastern ethnicity.

What we need to factor into this whole picture is that the left has the huge megaphone of the main stream media amplifying everything they say. So they "sound much bigger" than they actually are.

How many Americans, for example, think it's okay to kill a fully formed, viable baby in the ninth month? How many support the governor of VA who said that even when a baby is delivered, it could be "kept comfortable" and then, if the mother so decided, killed? The media simply report this, as if it were not ghoulish. Most Americans, however, are repulsed and angered. I would bet on that.
