It Was 63 Years Ago
A snowy New Year's Eve in Brooklyn, NY. A jealous ex girlfriend lurked in the hallway of my apartment building and tried to kill me with a rather large butcher knife.

Ah, those were the days!

Definitely sounds like she was on the Crazy/Hot Matrix....probably in that area where strippers, redheads, and girls named Tiffany are located.

Not Tiffany -- her name was Norma, but yes, hot. And crazy! If she had been a Hollywood actress, she would have been type-cast as the evil Ninja seductress.

Eurasian girl, here on a student visa, desperately wanted to find a U.S. husband as a path to permanent residence / citizenship here. I had previously turned down her dowry offer of an MG-TC, ten thousand dollars cash and forty acres in Montego Bay, had not seen her for several months, and thought that I was rid of her.

My roommate and I, and our dates -- my first (and last) date with an apparently sane, really sharp, young lady -- had just come from a Broadway play and were returning to our apartment, where Dave (my roommate) and I had prepared a late New Year's Eve supper.

We entered the hallway of the apartment building. I thought it strange that the lights were out in the hallway. I heard a voice saying, "So this is your new girlfriend" and Dave (who had gone through college on a football scholarship) came barreling past, knocking me to the floor, and wrestled the knife away from Norma.

We called police, I sent my date home in a taxi. Never saw nor heard from her again, no idea wonder why.

They don't make holidays like they used to! Wink
About six months or so after the attempted murder, the wiley wench pulled what she thought would be a great "fuck you, V-Tail" stunt. She was working as a U.N. employee, a clerical job on U Thant's staff. There was some sort of big deal very formal reception to which all of Thant's staff were invited. Norma, knowing that it would get back to me, called my best friend and asked him to be her escort, intending to seduce him and give him an evening that he would never forget. He liked the idea of going to a gala event at the U.N., but he felt obliged to check with me first, to see if I would mind if he accepted the invitation from my old girlfriend. I told him, "Go! Have a great time! But be careful not to piss her off, or she'll cut your dick off." (This was thirty years before Lorena Bobbitt became famous.)

Cute new years eve story V-tail. Got a few chuckles out it. I can picture the whole thing and hear Norma's voice. Big Grin

It looked good, but something was really messed up in the clutch / transmission area. It was a major battle to get it into first gear, to get it going. Once in motion, everything was fine, but I was living in Brooklyn at the time and that problem was a deal-breaker in NYC stop-and-go traffic. Too bad -- if the MG had been in good condition, I might have considered the deal, and be living the life of luxury with a 40 acre vacation home in Montego Bay. Razz

Back in the 1960's my sister had a college friend, hot-as-hell Laotian/Chinese girl, and like many All-American Men, I had a thing for hot Asian chicks.

She never pulled a knife on me, though. I guess I just didn't have what you have, V-Tail!

I'm jealous! Cool

My story isn’t as exciting as yours but here goes..

It was a snowy New Years Eve in Nashua, New Hampshire. I was walking my date through the parking lot after a nice dinner waiting for another person to walk past us. Once he passed us I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me.
That was 42 years ago and we’re still together.

He is 100% correct, women move on the Hot/Crazy matrix all the time. Unfortunatly, my ex moved left and up... had to end it. Very expensive if you don't realize that those creatures are very difficult to wrangle and keep in one place.

Hey, painting with a broad brush here? I happen to have a niece named Tiffany, and she's definitely not crazy. `Course, she does like to shoot guns....
