There was a scene like that in one of the Indiana Jones movies. When the sword wielding guy was finished with his silly demonstration, Indy drew his revolver and shot him.

Skip the head and save the bullet; nothing vital is inside the skull apparently.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

My main instructor in BJJ is also (Guro) Instructor in Pekiti-Tirsia.

I've learned just barely enough to know a Karambit is a terrible idea in a knife fight against someone trained in blades. Looks cool and you can do some neat spinny grabby things with it. But not even Dan Inosanto teaches Karmbit knife work. It's generally regarded as a thieves or bad guys weapon.

Train how you intend to Fight

Remember - Training is not sparring. Sparring is not fighting. Fighting is not combat.

I agree that AR15 doesn't mean what Sleepy thinks it means. Like the road ragers, he expects the other guy to stand quietly why he emotes.

That nonsense display of supposed effectiveness in taking a little knife to a rifle fight was so ridiculous that my first thought was to question whether it was some sort of parody and intended to mock the basement dwellers who believe they could come out ahead by any means in a showdown with right-thinking riflemen.

“ Enlightenment is man’s emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one’s own understanding without another’s guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one’s own mind without another’s guidance.”
