Buicks showing the future EV Wildcat, has the easily identifed logo on the front.

From the renderings, we reckon that this machine is a bit prettier than any of the Tesla models so far available. (We realize that is a little like saying Donna Shalala is "prettier" than Madeline Albright.) We have an acquaintance who has owned a Tesla for a couple of years and seems pretty happy with it thus far.

Doubt we will be shopping for a Buick (or any other model) EV any time soon...

We trudge on.

Sure beats the current sea of endless boring SUV's and pickup trucks any day of the week.

The one thing I'm hoping the EV market will bring is some design inspiration. The current portfolios of just about every car manufacturer is embarrassingly boring. The designers have to just dread going into work every day.

The EV's tend to have a similar "skateboard" architecture that should make it less costly to have sever different styles of cars all on the same "skateboard".

Hmmm..... Long doors. I recall the last GM car I had with a long door. Eventually it drooped and was hard to close. But things are better now, I would hope!

I smoked the engine on a friends 69 wildcat. I think it had the 400 inch. Thing has been burning oil bad and needed a quart every fill up. Driving down the freeway and bang. No power. Kick it into neutral and start coasting over got off at nearest exit and came down off-ramp into a 7-11 parking lot. Called tow truck from there. This was 97 or so. No cell phones for me yet. A connecting Rod gave out and shot out the bottom/side of the oil pan. What’s funny is that was the same exit I took to get off the freeway to get to campus for college and saw the streak of oil all the way down the off-ramp through the intersection and into the parking lot for the next year. Oops.

I like this Electric car styling from Buick. Too bad they didn’t use the Electra name badge on it. Also too bad this concept car won’t look like this when it hits production

Don’t worry, by the time that car goes from styling to production it will be a four door 5hat looks like everything else they build from Chevy to Cadillac.

My dad had a '68 Wildcat. Blue 4-door, big V-8. Maybe 10mpg.

We kids would sleep on the rear deck during road trips. It was not a small vehicle!
