Our community choir went to Germany and Austria in 1994; we had Glühwein in the Christkindlemärkte in Münich and Salzburg. We sang in an Advent choral festival in Vienna, and met a choir from Dresden who later came to Davis, CA for a joint concert. Very sweet memories brought back by thinking about Glühwein.

Gode Weihnachten! Low German from my hometown of Keystone, Iowa. Almost everyone that settled there was from Schleswig Holstein hence the dialect.
