I’m getting the impression that some believe the NG fired at the crowd for no reason. The truth is a large group charged throwing bricks and rocks at the guard. The guard had two choices, get hit with bricks or fire their rifles.

Yes. I watched a film recorded by the NG that showed them storming the troops. Never saw that on TV but this was during different times.
