At Kroger today, I noticed a large display of Mallo Cup four packs for $1.00.

I had them as a kid and remember the cardboard coins under each cup.

I did not need them, but I did buy them and ate them on the way home. Chocolate and Marshmallow, what's not to love?

Does anyone else eat Mallo Cups?

If so, do you save the coins? I am not even sure what you can use the coins for, does anyone know?

Hell, for $1.00, I may have to go back for more.

Yes. I do not save the coins, though.

Love Mallo Cups, don't see them very often, then again I might have better chance if I hit the grocery store more often. Wink

The coins can be saved up and redeemed with the manufacturer for free stuff.

Have them on rare occasion when I feel like engaging in a bit of Sin. BTW, once you've been through Heart Surgery you pay close attention to Saturated Fats and come to consider eating any tasty food as Sinful. Milk Chocalate being high in Sin factor means I only rarely indulge in Mallo Cups or 3 Musketeers bars. BTW, the real sacrifice is Bacon, haven't had any Bacon in oer 3 years.

I've stopped counting.

Some of us would have to hang a quart bottle of insulin IV if in the same room as a Mallo Cup let alone eating one.

I couldn't stand them even in The Long Ago Times in my pre insulin days.

I used to eat them. Then the company I worked for did the data networking and I got to see the "back of house" production facilities. Haven't touched one since. I assume since there's new management in place it may have changed.

As a side note, google Boyer Candy Company and read some of the articles regarding the internecine rivalry following the death of Anthony Forgione(the owner)of the owner (primarily involving his ex-wife, who divorced him two days before he died.). The stories only scratch the surface; internally, the company was like a bad TV series.
