pony220Foot high 30-06 and 30-07 signs
I am finding these about a foot off the ground on glass doors and I can hardly read them. Are they legal in that position?

Yes.

TXJIMI can
hardly read them.....seems they meet the standard if you noticed them and could read them...the hardly part is inconsequential.

Some that I have seen wind up kind of low partly because to print in 1 inch letters in both languages becomes kind of lengthy. Plus on some door designs, the 'integrated bar' style of door release (flat across the middle) along with pre-existing printing (like the business name and/or hour of operation) already on the top half of the door.
It's probably close enough to valid to be so but ...

I have seen them to sometimes run into problems and wind up re-doing them related to the above mentioned contrast, especially regarding dark lettering on glass. At least, according to what I have read in the past on 30.06.com
I have seen many many invalid signs for 30.06 and 51% and have never and will never bring any attention to them. As Napoleon put it, 'never interrupt your enemy while he is making a mistake'.

pony220The signs that I see are white letters on glass. The only thing that stands out are the numbers 30.06 and 30.07. There are no contrasting colors. It seems as though they want to be able to claim that they have the signs, but not give too much offense to others

mjlennonI must admit I didn't know what this meant.
I find it ironic that 30-06 restricts concealed carry. To most of us, 30.06 is the iconic Springfield cartridge:

Me too, so many people start threads assuming too much.
