Early this morning I received an email advising me of a new MyChart message. It was an invitation to schedule my first COVID-19 shot.

I did that. My appointment is for 10:45 AM today. I did the e-CheckIn too. All from my iPhone – quick and easy.

Besides downloading the app you have to contact your healthcare provider to activate it. After that all is easy-peasy. At least it is with my healthcare provider, the extensive UCSD healthcare system. I’ve been using MyChart for about 3 years.

Features:
* Lists upcoming appointments.
* Reports detailed test results.
* Provides an easy way to send messages to any of your doctors. And receive them.
* Notice of bills due. And a very easy way to pay them from your checking account.
* List of immunizations needed.
* Other features too.

Yeah, MyChart is wonderful!

I too have been using MyChart for about 3 years as well.

Only nit (a huge one for me) is with prescriptions. There is a pissing contest between the IT folks and the nurses over it as NONE of mine allow me to request new Rx via the Rx menu. I have to resort to using the message function. IT folks say my medicines were entered "incorrectly." Nurses call BS.

Oh well..........

By that you mean it's an Epic Healthcare System app. Which means that, unless you're in the Epic Healthcare System it's a non-starter.

Epic makes software. My healthcare provider uses it.

I'm a patient at University of Virginia Medical Center and use MyChart, it's indispensable to me.

I can pull up test results from UVA to show my regular doctor if needed.

I use it. Even used it for a couple of virtual visits.

Works pretty good for me.

Another well recommended app is Doctor on Demand
if you're looking for the ability to see a doctor.

https://www.doctorondemand.com/

You can do online or on your iDevice/Google thing... as there is an app...

there's gradual and increasing pressure from my provider group to 'open the app'; expect before too many more seasons there will be eventual demands for using it.

I've been using it for a year now. I resisted it at first but it does simplify and streamline some of the processes involved with medical care. Best part I've found is being able to message my doctor without having to fight through the gauntlet of phone answerers that never seem to get the information right.

I like it also. Besides access to medical test results, messages sent to my doctor or his nurse get prompt answers.

I think MyChart is the best out there. Many others are very similar. But MyChart has it pretty well polished.

Been using it for 3+ years. Great tool. I can actually communicate with my Dr and the PA. I too got a notice (University of Texas South West) that I could make an appointment. By the time I got there they were all booked. sigh.

I've been using it for about 5 years now, and I like it a lot too. Monday I received an email to look at a new message in MyChart, they wanted me to fill out a questionnaire for the COVID19 vaccination, which I did. I'm 66 and eligible for it now, but it basically said to not call them, they would notify me when I could get it.

I use My Chart for my mom. It was a great help getting her first Covid shot. And then scheduling her second shot.

I use Follow My Health. I can mail my Dr. directly, test results, appointment scheduling, script filling if needed. I am sure there is much more that I will use as needed. Love it!!
