What a great forum this is!! Not only do people here connect on the internet, but in person, too - although I have to admit that I've yet to meet the gentleman in my thread title in person.
Although I live for the most part in the UK, over the years I've managed to physically meet up with five people off this site, and if that isn't something special, I really don't know what is!
So to all of you here that I've met, and shaken your hand, here's to all those I've never met - giving you all a simulated but well-meant handshake across the ether.
Take care - all - in these troubled times. This message has been edited. Last edited by: tacfoley,

Always great to meet people!
The pub we all went to - closed three years ago after an acrimonious rent deal - is due to re-open later this year! You're more than welcome to come back and visit with us again!!

I'd love to do that!
I actually saw the pub on an episode of "Escape to the Country" a few months ago. Heard the town name, then the mention of the pub. Always neat to see someplace you've been on a show.
