Affinity by Serif is having a sale. All the Affinity applications are $24.99. It's a good time to grab one if you're interested in such a thing.

https://affinity.serif.com/en-us/

I have no idea how long the sale is going on.

I went ahead and just got all three apps. Photo, Publisher and Designer.

I have it on my MacBook and my iPad. Great program for the money.

Sounds interesting. Even at full price those would be a good value.

Going to check out that photoshop more when I get home.

I just purchased it so I can edit my old Nikon .nef RAW files and maybe some .jpgs if I'm happy with it. My main image processing software is Capture One Pro for Sony. Because it is just for Sony, I can't process files from any other camera I have so this Affinity will fill in the gap.

Thanks for the headsup!

I bought this tonight and it came with 4 free overlays: fog, rain, rainbow and snow.

For $25, can't beat this deal.

Now I just have to learn how to use it. Big Grin

InAffinity for Affinity Photo has an Absolute Beginners playlist on YouTube as well as other great tutorials along with other goodies - actions, etc.
ETA: Their site which has an index to their tutorials as well as links to other resources - Changing Minds - Affinity Photo

Another great resource is Affinity In-house video tutorials.

Robin Whalley has some good tutorials in Affinity Photo, as well as other products.

Affinity Revolution has tutorials, but personally her voice irritates me and I haven't yet made it through a full tutorial.

Serif (Affinity Photo) also has a page of video tutorials.

Hopefully these will help.

How about an alternative to Adobe Lightroom?
Are used to use apples aperture, but the abandoned it. I pay a high subscription cost for the Adobe photo products.
I recently found an inexpensive alternative to Adobe acrobat, with a better user interface and all of the features that I need.

I bought it on sale about a year ago. I haven't really used it a lot but it seems very good.

Care to share a linkage?

When I upgraded the os my Acrobat wouldn't load, what has worked fine and fully paid for is now DOA. Acrobat Reader has some serious bugs...

I use a different workflow & can't help much but there is a site alternativeto.net that offers alternatives to different applications. Can be searched by platform, OS, cost.
Lightroom alternatives for Mac - Hope this helps.

Apparently, Serif’s half-off deal ends at the end of June.

That’s a learning curve, especially coming from Adobe, but it seems like great software.
