Kinda telling about the current state of Liberalism.

Welcome, Arielle.

A ton of comments in support of this young lady. Wow. Gonna be a landslide of epicness.

Didn't watch the video so I don't know if she mentioned it but the #WalkAway campaign started by Brandon Straka is still going strong.

Well, she didn't really come out as a conservative. She's still a liberal. It's just that the Democrats have swung so far left, she might as well be a conservative. A she said, she didn't change. Prior to the absolute lunacy leftist that has taken over the Dem's she'd still be considered a lefty.

If all this causes her, at a minimum, to stay home on voting day, then it’s a victory. If she is so inclined to push the button for Prez Trump, that’s a bonus. Whatever it takes...

"Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil... Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24

Think about it this way. If she voted Trump, it's like winning a game against your rival for the division. If she stays home and doesn't vote, it's like you had the night off and your competition lost their game. Either way, it's good for the home team.

What’s amazing are the number of blacks, Hispanics, Asians, lgbt, and disenfranchised Democrats openly voicing their displeasure for the left and pledging support for Trump. Try and remember that he isn’t exactly a true, died in the wool Republican, or politician. He has shattered barriers put in place by both parties. This is attractive to a large slice of moderate America.

How nice.
At least it is good to know there is a separation of sexual-perverted from sexual-perverted-weirdo-crazy-delusional.
But hey, none of my business but why do I need to know what her issues are? Frown

This Sunday in Boca Raton our downtown park had a rally for #JEXIT - Jewish exit from Democratic Party and fighting against anti-semitism. Never had heard of it, stopped and listened a bit and as expected - lots of reason and pointing out not just the crazy left - but the anti-Semitic anti-constitution left.

These movements are gaining momentum

Worth noting for those who don’t know or aren’t familiar, Straka is a gay hairdresser from, I believe the Bronx, and a former Democrat who started a movement to red pill disillusioned Democrats. He’s been at it since, I think the Kavanaugh hearings.

Actually, she did say she’s gotten more conservative.

Well, that's kind of a relative term. I believe she meant "more conservative" only in separating distance relationship to the crazy far left, not actually closer to the right side conservative. What I got from the videos is that she basically didn't like the Trans activists hijacking the Lesbian and real-female classical feminists agendas, but that to me doesn't mean she became more conservative, just that she didn't follow the leftist crowd and become more crazy leftist.

Either way, more power to her. Hope she stays home for the election (much more likely) or votes for Trump (highly unlikely).

Fair enough. I don't think we disagree at all. I just watched the Timcast segment linked above and they made an excellent point: They both started as Democrats and have walked away, but it's because the Republican party has become more of the "big tent" party. We welcome all freedom-loving individuals of all races, creeds and sexual orientations whereas the left has become more about "fall in line with the party line or be excommunicated/de-platformed/cancelled."

I think that, just as the left has evolved into what it currently is, the right is evolving right along with it. If you love freedom, if you love your country, if you love being left alone, you're a conservative by today's standards.

The Timcast video really was excellent at highlighting the bullet points of how society has shifted and is worth a watch for anyone wondering. I know it's a long watch, but it's time well-spent if you're curious about the mindset of people leaving the left.

A lot of people who change, do so in stages, sort of like the 5 stages of grief. In a manner of speaking, it is the same thing, the beliefs you have held dear and based your life on, die, or begin dying process.

There are all manner of emotions, and troubling thoughts, as well as seeing many things in a way you never realized.

Almost every "genuine" change I have seen like this is similar, and palpable.

I am pleased people are able to see enough of a difference, that slows the process of running this country off a cliff, slowed enough that we have opportunity and ability, along with the newfound desire, to stop the thing.

They made some good points that should be seen as positive sign for anyone who values civil discourse. There have always been differences but leftism has jumped the shark and is killing the Democrat base. While these traditional left people are not going to join the right in large numbers they will pull away from politics and stay home in droves. The key take away comments to me were:

"There used to be pro-life and pro-choice, now there is only pro-life and pro-abortion. Some of the legislation introduced by the left on this issue is pure insanity."

"Far left woke culture is so loud that there is that small subset and everyone else who is muted."

"The republicans have a much bigger tent"

"People are just starting to walk away from the left "

I’ve always believed (and this seemed to be born out when we could actually talk about issues in any depth) that somewhere between 80 and 95% of Americans were really somewhere in the middle, often conservative on some issues, liberal on others, but not a million miles apart. Politics has more and more been characterized be people pushing to the extreme though, and the media has done everything that they can to both highlight differences and vilify those not toeing their ideological line. I suspect a lot of President Trump’s success was do to a lot of people reacting to that nonsense.

I'd rather have a libertarian gay person in congress than 100 straight leftists. Small government is small government, no matter what kind of naughty bits someone likes.

IMO of course.
