That anyone has to ask that question is mind boggling, isn't it?

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

Wasn't it just last month that a school suspended two students who had pictures of them competing in shooting sports on the student's personal facebook page? It was because there was a school policy barring students from having/being around firearms, even on their time away from school. There was a massive backlash against the school and they suddenly changed their policy.

Any why would there be a “pending police investigation”?
Investigate what, quality time with Dad?

Total BS. Anyone have the Principal’s or Superintendent’s email address?

Maybe the school admin believed that they were within solid legal grounds to suspend, based on a principle of " ... an abundance of caution ..."

... FN Scar (para)

One time, I pointed out to a journo 'friend' that the picture of a rifle in her story, captioned as an AR-15 assault weapon, was incorrect.

It was not an assault weapon; the AR-15 pictured was an FN SCAR 16S.

That journo 'friend' misheard me and thought I said that would leave an f'n scar.

I don't talk with her much these days...

I would love to know where they were shooting. I am almost positive that is lane 11 at Sharpshooters in St.Louis. I was just in that lane 45 minutes ago shooting my new P210 for the first time. Weird.

The school is barking up the wrong tree. Yeah quality time with dad creates the type of kids who go off the deep end.

Half jokingly I'm going to say "anybody contact the ACLU?"

It could get interesting.....

I taught an after school credit recapture progrm. This was high school but suddenly I had a middle school student appear. He had been expelled from his school and banned from any school during school hours.
After a bit I learned that one weekend, nowhere near any school, he hinted to another kid that he had access to a gun. No gun shown, no gun found, nothing. But he was expelled.
Best I could learn, he was a disruptive influence and had a history of disciplinary actions. This was a way to get rid of him.
I only saw him twice and he was gone. Never learned where he went.

I fear this is starting to become a trend; and it sucks ass. Just the act, as a high school teenager, doing a LAWFUL activity shooting a gun at a range UNDER SUPERVISION and, most importantly, OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL HOURS. Now getting kids yelled at by authorities and suspended??!! Some real noise needs to be made about this. First the gun grabbers tried to demonize guns (certain types like "black rifles") then they tried to demonize the NRA. Now they demonize the mere act of firing a gun...? Totally unacceptable.

Perhaps hurting the taxpayers over a government illegal action is exactly what we need, nothing makes people change who they pick to run things like hitting them in the wallet..
