^^^ This is a pretty solid position by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton who is offering to drop out of the Texas senate race if John Thune and John Cornyn will stop blocking President Trump, eliminate the filibuster and pass the SAVE Act.
Paxton gets a pass at calling Cornyn a “coward,” as the slight is negligible considering the selflessness within the offer. Paxton is a patriot and this is a solid alternative that boosts President Trump.
Let's see... Thune and Cornyn get the Save America act passed… Paxton drops out.. Trump fires “Blondi" and Paxton is named as her replacement as AG …. Perfect.
"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown

^ I would be very happy with this arrangement. I voted for Paxton and didn't want to see him get shit on. But if it led to better things for Ken, we still had a fairly reliable Senator, and Bondi gets ousted, it's a win all-around.

This Paxton ad just dropped today, a scathing critique of Cornhole. And it's all true.

He gave Cornyn plenty of rope, and he hung himself, these RINO's need to go, Massie, Cornyn, Thune, McConnell, Paul, all need to go... along with a few others.

At this point, it was inevitable that Trump was going to endorse Paxton, given his posts on Truth Social regarding Massie, Cassidy, Boebert, etc. Cornyn was not going to slink his way out of this. I voted yesterday, next Tuesday would have been questionable for me, and Paxton all the way.

Early voted for Paxton, MAGA Mayes Middleton, and Bo French yesterday. We’ve got to get rid of the useless incumbents.

John Thune praises John Cornyn as a “principled conservative” ...
Trump Endorses Paxton in Texas Senate Race
Senator John Thune of South Dakota, the majority leader, sought to project confidence as members of his caucus voiced concern that President Trump’s endorsement of Ken Paxton could cost Republicans the Senate. Thune said he thought his party would hold the majority and could even pick up seats.
Thune said he found out that President Trump had endorsed Paxton, the Texas attorney general, “like everybody else” — from the president’s post on social media.
He praised Senator John Cornyn as a “principled conservative” and a “very effective senator,” and pledged to continue to support his re-election campaign even after the president endorsed Paxton. “The president made his decision,” Thune said, adding: “That doesn’t change the way I feel.”

As a historical reminder, Cornyn was McConnell's third Republican Whip (2013-2019) and Thune was McConnell's fourth Republican Whip (2019-2024). Already got rid of Lott and Kyl (first and second Republican Whip under McConnell), and the remaining 3 are a cancer on the US Senate.
McConnell is retiring
Cornyn needs to get primaried
Thune needs a vote of no confidence and get somebody else as majority leader
I early voted yesterday and happily voted for Paxton.

Good news! Trump's pick to replace McConnell won the Kentucky primary.
I hope you're paying attention Thune. We're sick of the bullshit.
