I used 5200 to bond aluminum to fiberglass. The 5200 bonded well to the fiberglass but held badly to the aluminum even after it was cleaned and roughed up.

I once mounted something similar in a crude but effective way. I used some left over windshield installation adhesive. It came in a roll of sticky black papered tape. You can find butyl rubber strips like this. Thinner would be better.

I found drilling a series of small holes thru the bracket allows the glue to squish thr and helps with a good bond

Op I recalled last night that we used a fast epoxy from Lowe’s- it comes in a syringe with two side by side tubes, for our dishwasher bracket.

We have granite countertops and the bracket is glued to the underside and then attached to the dishwasher to keep it from migrating....used a wood clamp to hold it in place until the epoxy hardens.

How much does the slab weigh? Why attach it at all. Maybe just a little rubber bumper on top for some added friction. Is this a house with young children? Im thinking about all the glass table/end tables I have seen and none are anchored to the base.

Jesse I was going to recommend either silicone or 3M VHB double sided tape. It is an amazing product.

Well... um... that's a good question. The slab is about 35-40 pounds, I'd guess. I suppose it could just sit on top of the frame.

A very good thought! I used a lot of that stuff in the previous job (automotive)... it's great.

God bless America.
