Happy Birthday, Jay. Glad you enjoyed the Montecristo. My BD is Friday - The Big One so need to decide what to smoke.

Gator, congrats on the karma win - a very generous offer by Jeff.

Petr - holy cow, man, what a haul. What is the Cigar Room bag? A humi-bag or just a carry bag?

Had to go mild after the le Bijou pepper bomb? The espada is a good smoke but a little on the mild side considering it is a Nicaraguan puro. I did enjoy the Monte, not much from them impresses me. Thinking of picking up some macanudo aged 1997 maduro and their newer maduro offering, any thoughts or experiences with those?

I smoke this in honor of my dad and my father-in-law. Rest In Peace, gentlemen. As each day passes, I miss you both a little more. Definitely "Saints" in my book.

The tan duffel bag? It was what was given to everyone that went. It is just a duffel bag and was stuffed when I was done. With every admission ticket you were given a "coupon" book with every vendor in it. The booths were numbered in accordance to the coupon. You walked up, tore off the coupon and exchanged it for a cigar. There were a total of 38 manufacturers I think. CI also supplied a sampler of 25? cigars inside of the humidor. I had a shirt upgrade, they also offered a hat upgrade, so I received 12 Oliva cigars, the hat added 10 Rocky Patel cigars. On top of that, some cigar companies have a "club" you can join. I took my membership cards and got an extra cigar at those booths. It really was a good time and was able to talk to most makers about upcoming releases and current cigars. They had beer samples there from local breweries and food was included in the admission, pulled pork was the main dish.

My humidor went from being fairly empty, as I was not able to get to CI in months, to being stuffed. I have the 300 count el Diablo that CI offers.

The Le Bijou is a REAL pepper bomb, especially the first third, but not much after that, for me, anyway. I think it was on Petr's advise to smoke it on a full stomach, which I did. Not going to give up on it, but right now struggling to be friends with it. Oh well, plenty of other smokes out there.

I did grab a Mac Rothschild of their newer version not long ago, For me, a good smoke with morning coffee as the cocoa, chocolaty taste was a good match. I remember it to be very mild, even for the connecticut wrapper, but flavorful.

Jay, I had an original release 1997 maduro that was damn good. I have not had any of the current release.

The le Bijiou in petite robusto is my favorite vitola. I have tried most of the vitolas but they miss the mark for me. Obviously each year's crop will yield different flavors regardless of cigar or maker.

The macanudo sounds good then the kind of morning smoke I've been searching for. They advertise it as the mildest maduro out there, which I thought was weird using a broadleaf. I will pick up some of both. The 1997s are really cheap for a box and i may just jump on one. Plus I want the metal rings they come with.

The Le Bijou is a love/hate relationship. Petite robusto or its wayy too strong. The pepper is great at first but punishing towards the end, I put 5 away deep in the humidor hoping they will mellow out after some time. The mrs got me the LE toro that comes in a coffin and I am leary about smoking it.

Yes Ken. That is the 50th anniversary special release from a couple years ago, not an original, one of the refills. I like the Family reserve 50th or #50, which was released at the same time a little better.

50th anniversary. http://www.seriouscigars.com/p...duro-6-1-2-x-52.html

Jay, in the 1997 release, what size will you get?

I picked up a box of the perfecto's from Serious Cigars. Cheapest place I could find and free shipping.

This was gifted to me today. 40th Birthday cigar by Tatuaje for Pete.

Not sure when I'll smoke it, but it's been on my grail-list for some time.
