To me it tastes like black coffee with a hint of cocoa. I spent the last year drinking and trying lots of stouts and I always went back to this one. Lagunitas has some good stouts as well. There are a bunch of obscure stouts that if you like NCB you would like these as well but they may not be as easy to find. Cigars and stouts go great together I especially like maduro wrappers that bring sweetness to the mix with a stout

IMHO Guinness is to stout as Budweiser is to lager.

Ok sounds like I might enjoy that, Guinness is nasty lol. I'll give this stuff a go if I can find it. Thanks Gator.

Ill pass judgment when im done. Just lit it and it has a dirty earthy spice im not liking so far.

The dirty spice completely vanished and some Spicy hay/grassy flavors appeared. Hints of cream with heavy pepper finish. The Brazilian habano wrappers are really tricky as ive only had a few that taste just right. Not a bad smoke but it costs more than it was worth. The Cao brazil got it right. 3/5 smoke rings.

A very rainy Saturday here so no outside work that needs to get done can happen today. Too late to go to the post office to drop off a package, so I am smoking this. A Skull and Bones Cloudmaker that has been sitting in My humidor for at least 8 months.

Question. Just had a macanudo court. Its 4.2" x 36 ring gauge.

What are we liking in the 36 ring gauge size? Macs are good just wondering if theres better. I really like the time frame of that smoke right now. Ive come full circle on timeframe from LGC ser R no 6's. Lol.

Jay, I'm not sure if its available down by you, but I just had an Oscar's Chocolate Oatmeal Stout (on tap) yesterday. I really liked it. If I'm going to have a drink, I tend to try porters and stouts. I've heard good things about ORIS, but I always forget to look for it when I'm getting some booze.

The Tatuaje black petite lancero is 6x38 and is a great cigar. I usually don't try lancero sized cigars but this is one I have had and recommend. My brother had the CAO flathead piston which is a bigger ring guage and said it was great. I have had the spark plug which is closed in size to your post and well...it is a phenomenal smoke!

Deq the petite Corona at 40 X 4" is likely your best bet. 38 ring Guage is primarily lancero size. As Pete mentioned there are petite lancero but they are not very common.

Tatuaje makes a few different Petite Coronas a brown label, also a verocu #5.

7-20-4 makes one called the "Dog Walker"

Jay I forgot to mention Samuel Smith, they have stouts and porters and brown ales which are all good. I don't think I've had a beer of theirs I didn't like.

Dominican vs Nicaraguan completely different. I prefer Nicaraguan and with just a few exceptions I don't smoke many Dominican cigars.

The tatuaje brown label petite Corona is know as "Crack Stick" in other online cigar communities they are outstanding.

I couldn't find any of the stouts you guys suggested. It was slim Pickens yesterday but the beer guy did recommend this stuff. Not too bad, heavy black coffee flavor with a very small bourbon finish. The cigar is starting off very mild, no pepper blast on the first light or much pepper going on at all so far. Its all cocoa and a licorice kind of flavor .

It was a good smoke. It did pair well with the brew. Mild enough not to drown out the beer flavors. My opinion, this is a great morning smoke. Mostly cocoa with a sweet flavor would pair great with coffee. Not enough spice/pepper for me. I got a few more to try with different beers though so my thoughts might change.

Great day! Went fly fishing for about 4 hours. Cuts were taking drys in the small stream I was fishing--had a really good time. Got home and went outside to throw the ball for our GSD and lit up a Montecristo Media Noche along with a Snake River Lager. First time with this cigar--a very smooth medium-full. If you like full flavored cigars and tend to dismiss Montecristos as too mild--give this one a try; I think you'll like it.

Long day of yardwork and honey-do lists. Going to go with an old favorite and light up a Liga #9 double Corona.

That's how I came to try them, Jay. Regular price on 5 Media Noches is $50. They ran a screamin' deal on 5 each Media Noches and Partagas Blacks for $40. Here it is, but I see it's back ordered right now.
