Anticipating the response, there are a bunch of keyboards too. My guess would be running some kind of regression or compatibility testing on a bunch of different systems simultaneously.

You give me way too much credit.

Three screens (plus laptop screen) are for work.
The rest are for my own personal use.
Three are dedicated for security camera footage (21 cameras - 7 per screen)
The remaining 6 are my most actively used ones.
Gaming (sometimes two games up at the same time), web browsing, movies, chats, music, etc..
I multitask a lot.

This is where my signature goes.

OK, I found a different arm-mount that will support down to 2.2 pounds. That should work, though I'll probably have to hang that bag-o-ammo. Wink

Maybe I'll karma the original arm-mount?

OK, I got a different mount that works beautifully with the smaller display (with a little weight ballast help). So I don't need the first one. Does anyone want it? It accomodates any monitor from 4.4-17.6 lbs, up to 32".

First person to claim it wins this karma (must be in CONUS and able to receive a UPS shipment).

I see you got another mount. What you could have used is a couple of steel plates in the same VESA mount size and hole pattern to add weight without really seeing anything visually. A welding shop/fabricator or even a wrought iron guy should be able to help with that. They might even have some scrap around that small to use.

I thought of something like that (we have a machinist), but it would have been so much unnecessary weight and I just preferred to get something more appropriate for the application. The new mount was all of $17, and I prefer not to use workarounds where possible.

You remind me of a peeve I had at work. 3 monitors each had it's own adjustable table top mount. I could lower it and swivel it. But, dangit, at least one or all 3 monitors could not be adjusted to the same height so that the tops or bottoms of the monitors were level.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

At work, I have a 14" laptop with a 21"(?) above it, then a 32" to the right. Not ideal, but it was what I had & I got used to it.
I 3d printed risers so the 21 is even with the top of the laptop. Plural because desk isn't flat there. Together, they are just about 1/2" off from the top/bottom of the 32". as long as you aren't near the top/bottom when moving mouse L/R, the jump is barely perceptible. Win10 can adjust monitor placement so you can align as best as possible.

In case anyone's wondering how I worked it out, yes, that is a bag of rocks hanging from my monitor arm.
