Still love my S8 that I got about 1.5 years ago. MY wife and I got them at the same time, and neither of them has given us the slightest hiccup. Still holds charge well too.

Another vote for the OnePlus 6t. Replaced my S6 and very impressed thus far, especially for the price!

I upgraded from a Note 2 to a Note 8 a year ago, and I am really disappointed. It performs more slowly than I expected, and has some ridiculous bugs that are simple to fix that Samsung will do nothing about.

Last week's OS update now causes my phone's battery to drain at 3 times the rate it did previously.

I'ma huge fan of Samsung, but my next phone will be something else.

Well, ended up getting her a new S9 for a little over $400.
It may be a bit overkill for her but at least I won't have to get another for a while (hopefully).
