I know I have asking about several older Toyota rigs. Still looking for one. I like the thought of an Avalon. But my wife is not wild about a sedan though it would work. A friend of hers has an older HIghlander. not sure specifically which model. But there is one that fits our budget but it has the 4 banger, which I believe is a great engine. I need to be able to tow up to 2500lbs. Can I do it with one of these. I actually like the looks of it. I think it is a 2006 model. Should I steer clear for any reason? This one looks clean and has maybe 130k on it. Thanks guys.

How often and how far do you need to tow 2500 lbs.? You'll be working the 2.4 and transmission pretty hard. Occasionally won't kill it. And does it already have a trailer hitch on it? Mounting them to unit bodies can sometimes be problematic.

not very often and typically not far. Do not know about whether it has a hitch or not.
