I plan on doing a set of Form 1's this month and printing a series of suppressors. Also a bunch of other tools and such. I am having fun. Maybe that is the point.
(I have to do the suppressors before the govna outlaws them)
What filament for the suppressors? Will plastic stand up to pressure and heat?
My son has two Flashforges. Got the single color one, decided he wanted the AD5x for 4 color so was going to return the first one to Amazon. When he ordered the second one theyy told him to just keep it!

PLA should work, once

I'd be curious to know as well, and if the P1S can handle that filament

redstoneThe filament has carbon fiber and can be very difficult to work with.
PA6-CF-20 is what has been recommended to me. You have to have a 'dryer' for it, and then the chamber needs to be heated as well. So I am going to buy the enclosure kit for mine. AND I will need to run steel gears and a tool steel print head as the carbon fiber tends to chew the nylon and brass bits up.
From what I hear if you dont mag dump you can get several hundred rounds through one.
My plan is to do a few form 1's with sequential serial numbers. and see how long they last. When it dies, I just use the next serial number.

P250UA5Will be following.
I know the Bambu can use the CF filaments, but like you said, needs upgrades to handle it.
Do the steel parts have any effect on normal filaments?

That's nuts. Would WA similarly limit sales of CNC machining equipment?
Just nuts.

CNC machines are included as well…

I have read several accounts on X where the 22lr units survive quite a while, now larger caliber might be different.
Some are buying internal metal core baffles online and building theirs around those.
As to multiple serial numbers, is there a way to have an engraved metal plate that has the SN, and you build the suppressor body around it, when the body is used up, remove the plate and build another body, similar to Sigs modular internal SN parts.

I'm thinking Mazak and Haas and the others are laughing at WA right now.
How ridiculous.
Politicians seem to have forgotten that they work for us, not the other way around.

I hate cats. Like “other other white meat” hate cats.

. That said I fully support and condone that particular cat’s natural instinct to murder the person putting the hats on him. I mean I hate cats and feel for you buddy.

911BossYee Haw! Just got my shipping notice. BHPhoto sending it 1 day FedEx, should be here tomorrow.
Anyone remember “recorders” from elementary school? I have three grand kids who aren’t quite at that age yet, but would love to have these parental torment devices to make beautiful music around my son’s house.
They are coming to visit Saturday so hoping to have 3 of these fresh off the plate and waiting for them when for when they
leave…

911BossPrinter arrived this morning!
Spent about 90 minutes setting it up, calibrating, updating firmware, and the recalibrating before it was ready to go.
Hasn’t stopped printing since.
First print was some Chopsticks for my son:
Then the first noise maker for the grandkids. I decided against the Dragon one due to time and complexity. This will be for the youngest (just turned 2):
Next up, steering wheel tablet holder. No, not for use while driving! I spend a fair amount of time in the car waiting on my wife at various appts. Always trying to balance the iPad on the wheel. This will solve the stability/balance issues.
And just about finishing up, a pill container. My son printed the same one for me. I have use for at least three of them. Once it’s finished I’ll compare the two to see if any noticeable differences.

P250UA5I printed something like that, just for fun. An insert that fits into an Altoids tin.
Snug fit to get it in, but a little loose once past the lip.

HRKCan you get files to create pistol grip modules where you could print one for say a P365 that is a carry size, longer grip, fit the internals and slide assembly and use Sig mags.... or I guess print your own mags for that matter

That's interesting, imagine you'd have to spend some time to BYO model to print from.
Is there a scanner option where you can scan something and then make modifications to it and print your own.

P250UA5I've seen a few, most are marked as Airsoft. Guessing liability limiting.
I printed an AR15 mag style AAA battery magazine. Even with a PLA spring, it has decent tension. I'd guess with a real metal spring it could work with 5.56 dimensions. biggest issue being the feed lips.
