Have you ever seen any?

I got a picture of some shadow bands today from the eclipse.
Until today I had never heard of them.

I saw them in Missouri at the last total eclipse, which was a pretty cool experience. Iowa was cloudy and we were to only get some 55% totality here anyway today unfortunately.

Wife and I, newlyweds in 1970; drove from Pittsburgh to Virginia Beach to see the only total solar eclipse we’ve seen so far. Lots of eerie phenomena— sudden coolness; “sunset” appearing all around us; birds start singing like it’s dawn; and shadow bands. Very cool.

Very cool! It rained all day here today so we didn't get to see it...I think it would have only been partial for us anyway. We're right in the path for the one next year though.

My kid was in a band competition during the eclipse. He said the kids were all passing glasses around so everyone could see it, while they waited to go in and perform.

Lady next to me said the electronic bill boards in the interstate said something to the effect of, do not pull over and park to view the eclipse. Lol

We had them here in 2017.

This time we just watched with filter glasses and it was only halfway covered.

The light was so orangish-yellow it was like being in that shit movie Melancholia.

However it was silent. Not the first bird was chirping, but the nocturnal insects were.

These eclipse glasses are great. I'm glad I kept them from 2017.
