tacfoleyTurkish Leopard 2 tanks having a hard time in Syria...
https://misterxanlisis.wordpre...pard-2a4tr-in-syria/Seems they are ignoring Guderian's tenets - 'always have overwhelming force', and 'respect your enemy's capabilities'.

Jester814Damn. Are they just not getting proper infantry support or what?

Captain MorganNo on the top turret machine guns. Nor shields for them. The Abrams has it and they should learn from that.

corsairWhen you have no infantry supporting your armor, you'll get results like this.
Every tank can be knocked-out, just depends on the operators and their tactics. In other words, it's the Indian, not the arrow.

CQB60Poor coordination & unsupported Armor spells disaster. I hope the Kurds knock the Turks dongs in the dirt.

joel9507From the writeup in the link, the Turks appear to have been using the tanks like Brits did in 1940 - as infantry support.
Lot of water under the bridge since that made any sense.

YooperSigsIn addition to infantry, I believe that armor operations are most successful when armor is supported by fixed wing and rotary wing air.
