Keep in mimd your home owners insurance policy is going to have a very low limit for currency, coins, precious metals if stolen or destroyed, like $200.

For that reason mine is in a safe deposit box, there isn’t any insurance on that though either.

Yep. Mine has one of the more generous precious metals policies I've seen, and it tops out at $2500. That's barely more than 1 ounce of gold these days...
