Lived here for 12 years. Open house was a week ago on Sunday, brokers tour on Tuesday, then we looked at 5 offers on Thursday. Chose the highest one, with all contingencies lifted, zilch. Months of detailing the house, staging, stress, etc. paid off. 30 day escrow started on Friday.

Today, we made a deposit on a small 1 bedroom apartment, 6 month lease starting mid April. Most of our stuff is in storage now.

Phase One of Operation Escape From CA ends, Phase Two starts. Hope to have my location below changed to TX within 6 months Smile

Congrats. You have a destination in mind?

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

OB, let me welcome you to Texas in advance.  Please enjoy the video, Texas' very own Asleep at the Wheel.  A national treasure so to speak.

Please join the TSRA, drive friendly, and refrain from voting for any non- conservative politician.

Please do a lot of travelling your first years.  Texas is a big state.
