Congratulations and don’t include me in the KARMA.

When you take the General test, go ahead and take the Extra test. You might surprise yourself.

Congratulations! I remember when I earned my Novice in 1966, than advancement to General. It took me 20 years to untimely get my Extra, and this was when you had to show up at an FCC field office and test before an examiner.
You will enjoy this hobby throughout your life as I have!

Thanks for the chance on this. I keep thinking about doing it but have not. Maybe this will get me going.

Congrats from N2JKA

Please don't enter me in the karma though.

Just a security note for those who care, your call sign is publicly searchable online, if you care about people being able to look up you name and address.

Please include me for this.

Back when they actually existed, I held an FCC First Class license (commercial) with Radar endorsement. Those were good for five years, renewable after that. That class was discontinued by the FCC and replaced by the General, lifetime, no renewal needed; I still have that one.

I always intended to get an amateur license but never got A Round Tuit. Now it looks as if I might have found a buyer for my business so with long-overdue retirement looming, I should have time for some of the projects that were on the back burner, so this might just be the little push that I need.

Please count me in!

I’ve always been interested in Ham radio, probably since high school (almost 25 years ago), but the Morse code part always kinda intimidated me.

With that requirement gone, and a few of my friends in it, now seems like a good time to actually do it.

Thank you for the chance!

My grandfather (N6PKK) was really into HAM radio. I always wanted to follow but havent found the time with the 2 kids and busy work schedule. I need to just quit making excuses and do it. I keep thinking about the big one hitting socal, and the only ones who will be able to communicate for a while after will be guys with HAM radios that can hit the repeaters. Count me in please!

No karma here. I've never had a HAM license, but was a beneficiary of some MARS phone patch traffic in the past. HF radio in my helo on cruise.

Noted this thread a couple of days ago but hesitated to post until after taking the General exam.

Aced the Technician exam on 5/6/2018.

Took the General and Amateur Extra exams today (aced both).
Several of the older VEs were amused that I brought a slide rule to take the test.
Post testing, I showed them it was actually easier/faster than a calculator to answer several questions.

Don't enter me in the Karma though, as I already have a a couple of tri-band hand held transceivers.

According to my calendar, 6/6/18 is middle of next week.

Congrats on the ones today, though.

Sorry. I know the feeling. It takes anywhere from 2 to sometimes a dozen edits to clean up a post sometimes.

Anyway, congrats on getting it over with.

Congrats and nicely done! I'm in.

When I was a kid I used to sit by my dad's old Rube Goldberg radio setup and listen to the crackle of discussions going on around the US and the world (on favorable nights).

When the zombies come (and they will), we will all rely on you Ham Operators...
