"Green energy" is and has been viable since the 70's, and if you know what Voyager is, then you know how long solar power has been in use.
Voyager probes use radioisotope thermoelectric generators for power, solar at that distance isn't as effective.
The technology is related, and the development began when? This is my point.
Sadly the greenest option is nuclear, but there are too many hurdles to open new plants so as ones shut down entropy will leave us without the cheapest and cleanest source of energy possible eventually.

Nuclear energy is safer than its failures, but the plants that produce it are aging hard. Solar and wind have a much lower failure to casualty ratio.
Solar power is one way to produce electricity. The government should not force you to do it. The government shouldn't force you to buy health care either.

With such views, you would make a poor socialist. The gov't knows, better than you do, whats good for you.
Sidenote. I just heard an ad on TV frim Diane Feinstein urging "common sense" something or other. If DiFi uses the term common sense, you know it is socialist brainwashing.
