I wrote down a transcript of part of Schumer's speech starting around 9:50 into the video.

Chuck Schumer:

7 key principles that the American people overwhelmingly support.

The American people are fundamentally pro "legal" immigration and anti "illegal" immigration

First key principle: Illegal immigration is wrong

A primary goal of comprehensive immigration reform must be to dramatically curtail future illegal immigration

Second

Operational control of our borders through significant additional increases in infrastructure, technology, and border personnel must be achieved within a year of enactment


Third

A biometric based employer verification system with tough enforcement and auditing is necessary to significantly diminish the job magnet that attracts illegal aliens to the United States

Fourth

All illegal aliens present in the U.S. on the day of enactment of the bill, must quickly register their presence with the United States govt. And submit to a rigorous process of converting to legal status and earning a path to citizenship or face imminent deportation

Five

Family reunification is a cornerstone value. By dramatically reducing illegal immigration we can create more room for both family immigration and employer based immigration

Six

Encourage the world’s best and brightest individuals to come to the U.S. and create the new technologies and businesses that will employ countless American workers, but must discourage businesses from using our immigration laws as means to obtain temporary and less expensive foreign labor to replace capable American workers

Seven

Create a system that converts the current flow of primarily low skilled illegal immigrants into the United States into a more manageable and controlled flow of legal immigrants who can be adsorbed by our economy

Let me elaborate:

Illegal immigration is wrong. Plain and simple.

Until the American people are convinced that we will stop future flows of illegal immigration, we will make no progress on dealing with the millions of illegal immigrants that are here now.

When we use phrase like “undocumented workers”, we convey a message to the American people that their government is not serious about combating illegal immigration. Which the American people overwhelmingly oppose.

The people know, how can I tell, survey on their approval rate as of Nov 11th 2018 Gallup poll. 21% approval 74% disapproval 5% no opinion. The people are sick and tired of inability to move past the vitriol partisan bullshit they spew from a their pie holes to make them look good to their base. The politicians could care less what is good for our country.

Coming to compromise that most can live with that moves this country forward and is good for our country, is not possible with these idiots. Why, because they don’t possess the intestinal fortitude to stand up for a position that is not perfect, does not give their party a total win.

Of course the people know! In my view the people have known for quire a while. However, how many of those people voted for the candidates that promised them all the free shit?

How about that case down in Florida(?) where the election official was "cooking the books" to help get her favorite candidate elected. Making well over $100K per year, "retired" then decided she really didn't mean it. And, last I recall the governor has done nothing to correct it.

The swamp is so broad, and so deep, that it will take more than a few news articles, or printing news article from the past to fix it.

Consider all the money that the globalists have at their disposal to buy the necessary politicraPs who will do their bidding without hesitation. And then whine, snivel, cry, when they are exposed!

Am I discouraged? Yes. Why? because with all the published accounts of corruption and illegal activities by our "officials" nothing happens to correct it.

I married a German girl more than 60 years ago. The process of getting military approval took NINE MONTHS! When the "screening" was over and we got permission, she had the equivalent of my security clearance. Top Secret Crypto. Did they actually give her that clearance? Of course not, but the background investigation was every bit as in depth and broad as was the investigation by the FBI to grant me my clearance.

The Dem party has lurched so far left they can no longer win a majority of elections in this country if they have to count on legal American voters to get them there. So the only way they can feed their blood lust for ultimate power is to import illiterate, unskilled, welfare sponges they can buy off with our money. Yep, the final outcome is to turn the US into a third world shit hole they can 'rule' according to their leftist/socialist/communist ideology.

Why doesn't Trump just quote the libs from various speeches through the years whenever he talks about it?

Agreed, but the final outcome is still the same. The country as a whole collapses in on itself as the leftists destroy it so they can wrestle back power and control. It pains me that a large cross section of the current population is too lazy and disinterested to do anything about it.

We are left with voting as a means of correction when the libs have the Nation in their grip. Just voting. Or maybe some SCOTUS intervention. Seriously, to actually rule over our freedoms like true commies, tyrants, that is a power they only think they want. When time is right, Americans will fix their government, fix their country, retake what is ours. It then wont be by voting.
