You turn it on. It powers up and then immediately clicks off. Just started this tonite while watching a video. It is toast? or something else going on?

Open it up and look for a burned out capacitor. Common problem on a lot of their units. Cheap to fix. Check for YouTube videos.

Check for swollen capacitors.

Most power boards are available and easy to replace.

If you see swollen or leaky caps, compare the cost of parts (caps/cap kits) vs the entire board.

I have repaired quite a few for less than $50 (replacing board) and having done repairs from tube systems through solid state.

I would rather spend the extra dollars and be done with it. But each issue should be evaluated on its own points.

You might also want to try another cable, maybe the monitor is losing signal from the device, and going to sleep because of a broken wire, or loose connection in the connector.

^^^

I would hope checking the power cable, and the outlet (using a different circuit) and signal cables (and also seeing if it does it with all input sources) would be the first things checked.

But a good thing to bring up.

Had a similar issue with an old Samsung we have. Bad capacitor. Tons of how-to videos on YT. Probably a bad cap on the power board. And capacitors are pretty cheap to boot.

Same thing happened to me on our Samsung a little over a year ago. Replaced 2 capacitors and it’s still chugging along.
