I like the new interior but I totally agree they've puffed it up too much. Subaru "Bronco'd" the exterior which looks awful. Subaru used to be a trend setter with smallish, practical wagons, opposed to SUV's. Now they're copying SUV styling.

@P250UA5, yep, they destroyed the looks. The images of the Wilderness Outback, to me, aren’t as bad, though. Still, the new interior IS a go.

I'll reserve judgement on the new OB until seeing it person, but the initial images I've seen don't do anything for me.
Despite the engine issues [head gaskets?], the 4th generation [03-08] Legacy XT wagon was my favorite on looks.

I nearly bought a 6th gen non-turbo OB a few years ago, but the numbers were way off from expected.
My parent's OB Onyx [21 or 22, dont recall] is great, drives really well, but I'll agree that I don't care for the massive screen.

If that's the new Outback, Subaru is toast. People (like me and everyone else with an Outback) that want a station wagon are not going to buy that bullshit. They'll move to a Volvo V60 or V90 or an Audi A4 Allroad.

Wow I sure hope that's fake. It looks worse than Chevy Chase's wagon in Vacation.

To me, the average Subaru buyer doesn't strike me as a Volvo/Audi shopper.

But, if you want a wagon, your options are more & more limited every year.

We had a 2016 Outback. It had a few issues during the 36 month warranty and one after the warranty that Subaru covered anyway.

Now we have 2024 Outback (white one Wink ) that is almost 2 yrs old with 15,000 miles on it. No issues so far
