6gunsRecommend and fairly compact, good quality, trouble-free laser printer
Happy New Year, All!
As the title says, I'm looking for a basic black and white laser printer that I don't have to screw around with. One that always works when there's paper and toner in it. Any thoughts? Thanks!

UTsigI'm not sure if I call this one "compact" but I've had good luck with Brother printers. Mine is out of toner, I've owned it for years and will buy this one instead of just toner for the difference in $$.

6gunsThanks guys! That looks like it'll fit the bill perfectly!
After reading the description, it seems sometimes people have wireless connection problems. Just to be sure, I can also plug this in, right?
ETA, I see it has a USB connection option.

OKCGeneI’ve got two of those, same look just a slightly different model number. They’ve been sitting on the shelf since I bought 2 Brother All In One Multifunction laser units. I’ve kept those 2 older ones because it’s so easy to print addresses on envelopes and mailing labels. They work great.

WaterburyBobDefinitely get one that can use a wired connection.
I've had wireless printing issues with Canon, HP and Brother printers. They all started out fine but all started having connection issues shortly thereafter. I don't even bother setting up wireless printing anymore.

That is the exact model I have. Replace toner when empty, good to go. Replace drum unit after every 4 toner units. Local Walmart has toner.
I use the duplex capability all the time.
I used the software to update the firmware and haven't had any wireless problems since.

Tn226I ordered a Brother HLL2305W printer after not doing enough research.
My current printer plugs into the USB and 80% of my printing is from the desktop. My wife plugs her laptop in when she needs to print something (which is infrequent since she retired). She wished to occasionally print wirelessly from her Iphone things like recipes etc.
Turns out it's one or the other involving plugging and unplugging cables which is exactly what I was trying to avoid.
Any suggestions? Thanks

6gunsI bought the printer recommended in the first reply. I'm very happy with it, though have only used the wired USB connection. If I need to print something from my phone I'll attempt the wireless connection.
FYI, it does not come with the USB cable, must buy separately.
