Monday Uodate.

I spent the day with him yesterday and he’s in severe pain in his right leg, borderline unbearable and they are treating with Morphine and Dilaudid. He is standing up straight but cannot do so unaided. This is going to be a long recovery. The surgeon decompressed some nerves and the thought Is that right leg nerve pain is from that.

I talked with the surgeon last night, his acute right leg pain is due to a syndrome called “ nerve stretch”. He was effectively lengthened out by the surgery so he stands straighter and when he sits that’s exaggerated. This may take weeks but he’s in a good path.

Dad had a heart attack last Friday at the Rehab, he survived it thank God.
He spent the week at Beth Israel Hosptal in Boston and they did an angiogram on Wed. They found a coronary artery blocked 95% and they were able to open it and stent it. This was his 3rd heart attack.

God willing he goes to a different rehab today to start the healing process. He’s in pain and has lost nearly 20lbs. He’s a fighter through and I think with some time he will be back and better.
