This state is so far gone it’s as bad as California but doesn’t get as much press. https://www.bostonherald.com/2...ithout-legal-status/ By MATTHEW MEDSGER | mmedsger@bostonherald.com | Boston Herald June 8, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. The House on Wednesday overruled the veto objections of Gov. Charlie Baker and passed a bill which would see those without legal status licensed to drive. “We are proud to see the Massachusetts House of Representatives move so quickly to override Governor Baker’s veto of the Work and Family Mobility Act,” Elizabeth Sweet, executive director of the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy (MIRA) Coalition, told the Herald. The Bill H.4805, passed the House and Senate and was sent to Baker’s desk last month, after which he returned it to them unsigned. The bill would allow potential drivers to get licenses using documents from their home country. Baker has said many times, and said again when vetoing the bill, that the Registry of Motor Vehicles is simply unequipped to vet those documents. “I cannot sign this legislation because it requires the Registry of Motor Vehicles to issue state credentials to people without the ability to verify their identity. The Registry does not have the expertise or ability to verify the validity of many types of documents from other countries,” Baker said in his veto letter. The House overrode the governor’s veto by a two-thirds majority, with a vote of 119 to 36. “The item stands despite the objection of his excellency the governor,” state Rep. Paul Donato said as the bill passed. “By making driver’s licenses accessible to individuals regardless of immigration status, Massachusetts will take a strong step to both strengthen our economy, and strengthen relations between immigrants and law enforcement. We thank Speaker Mariano for his leadership on this issue, and eagerly await the Senate’s override vote,” Sweet told the Herald. https://whdh.com/news/house-vo...rivers-license-bill/ They won’t be able to use the license to vote or other stuff, wink, wink! It’s akin to what DeVal Patrick wanted to do grant them Commonwealth Citizenship, not US Citizenship but just Massachusetts citizenship. State is lost.

Spent case? Dare I saw worse, not as bad as? Dems are a goliath - so much the harder they will fall. One thing - there should a hard requirement for insurance linked to every license. Would their constitution not allow for removal due to gross, intentional, illegal conduct for not following what is undoubtedly coded law where it concerns the operation of the legislative body? IF NOT, WHY NOT?

If MA follows CA's lead, then they are a protected class. Because corrupt morons in office. In CA, illegals are commonplace. Crime is rampant. I'm sure there is a Venn intersection there. The corrupt morons in office live segregated, protected lives. They are intentionally doing everything they can to make normal citizens suffer. We're too busy fighting each other than to fight them. Oh joy, we get to eat cake. "Wrong does not cease to be wrong because the majority share in it." L.Tolstoy "A government is just a body of people, usually, notably, ungoverned." Shepherd Book

Illegals are not "immigrants"--they are "invaders". Immigrants enter the country the legal way. flashguy Texan by choice, not accident of birth

Step two is register to vote for anyone with a driver's license. It is "on the honor system", regarding if you are a citizen or not. This is how Kalifornia does it, so they do not have to alter the vote count as much. The illegal population in Cali is huge, I am guessing 10 million inc. their "legal" children. -c1steve
