Timely. Just the other day there was a good deal on an Apple DVD/CD disc drive on Woot. My current Mac laptop is working, but seriously lacking in OS and being a 2011 model can only upgrade so much. It DOES have a disc drive built in. So I bought this drive for the eventual purchase of a new Mac laptop.
