When watching TV or a movie, do you turn to the “last page” before finishing?

Ronin1069When watching TV or a movie, do you turn to the “last page” before finishing?
There was a time I loved the story and suspense of a great book, TV Show or movie, but over the past decade or so I’ve found that I embrace spoilers.
I am blessed (cursed?) with a vivid imagination and it takes me zero time to become emotionally attached to characters within a book or on the screen; to the point I don’t want to watch if I know things are going to go south for the character.
Case in point, I’m currently watching The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and I cannot help but read the Wiki on the show to know what happens first. I was the same way with Thrones, had to know the spoilers before they happened.
Sometimes I wish I could just enjoy the story for what it is, but that is surprisingly more challenging than I’d expected.
Anyone else?

OneWheelDriveI only read about spoilers if it's something I don't care to watch.
Don't think I've ever had regrets.

honestlouNo. I understand the use of Cliff's Notes or summaries if it's something you HAVE to read, or watch, and really don't want to. But no way on something I want to read or watch.
There's a reason it's called a SPOILER- because the general consensus is that it SPOILS the experience!

henryaz I always turn to the last page of the book, but don't read it. It's only to find out how many actual pages I'll be reading. Some books are printed on heavier stock and "look big" but are only 300 pages or so of actual novel. And oftentimes there are lots of author comments, previews of the next book, etc. at the end.

Same here.
Reading about the errors and/or trivia. Drives mmt wife nuts, thinks I'm not watching or enjoying the movie.

k5blazerGuilty as charged. Character development can be tedious and boring. I need to know if it can hold my interest.

egregoreCome to think of it, I have watched a few movies (mostly on TCM), looked them up on Wikipedia and read the article while watching the movie. No particular, articulable reason, and it doesn't "spoil" the movie.

flashguyNo, but I sometimes jump to the most recent page of a forum thread that I'd not been following.
Regarding books--I like to reread my favorites. Of course, I know how they end, but I just temporarily forget that and enjoy them again.
