A few of those white barricades with STOP imprinted across the front in red would be sweet to have. I'd block off my street on Friday evenings. Yeah, and maybe on Sunday afternoons.

Truck with suspected bomb? Bring in a CH-47 Chinook with a big bomb blanket. A ten ton weighted Kevlar mat. Then pump in sleeping gas.

Here's hoping the suspect is holding nothing more deadly than smoked meat snacks.

From the Washington Examiner link above:
quote:
Minnesota Rep. Dean Phillips signaled gratitude toward those concerned about his staff near the Library of Congress, saying, "everyone is safe," adding in his statement that "once again, America is forced to confront the growing risk posed by domestic terrorists."
Oh gee, the douchecrat already knows it's domestic terrorists Roll Eyes

Wouldn't it be ironic if it was 3rd world refugee from his district.

Too bad its the "library" of congress, and not Congress itself. They're in recess. We could probably afford to lose some of them.

Very. The headlines already have the suspect labeled as a Trump Supporter. There are pictures out now of the suspect and his vehicle. The whole performance checks off a lot of boxes of what I imagine some folks would believe is a stereotypical Trump fan.

He already made the statement that he loves Biden, so we KNOW that is baloney.

OK, because I'm too lazy to read the MSM, was there really a bomb? On the local 11:00 news last night someone mentioned "bomb making materials". In my ignorance, I don't know what that means. Hmmm..copper wire? Fertilizer..horse shit? A 5gal bucket?

The reports that he was a Trump supporter but he loved Slow Joe points out the problem with the media. They use their power to slander those they dislike, and almost never retract their errors even if they are proven to be liars. So I'm having this problem. My wife likes the news to "know whats going on". I don't like the news because they're at least wrong 50% of the time, if not more. Used to be...I liked the weather forecast, but they're wrong even more often. Its now the least reliable portion of the half hour. Gawd help us all.
