There are signs at the entrances to the stores in Nashville.

The signs were there for a while, then they disappeared. I haven't seen them in a while.

Same here. Used to be posted, now arent. Without posting by law in AZ the membership agreement doesn't mean shit.

They can always ask you to leave as it is private property. No different than anywhere else.

Well, then it'd be "Bye."

I've seen no signs at any store I've entered, and, if had I seen them, "concealed" is concealed. I'll disarm myself where required to by law, or as it otherwise suits me, but not to save a buck or two.

Keep in mind that Costco is not a public accommodation like a department store, but a membership warehouse. The public is not invited, with or without sidearms. They have a membership agreement. The key concept is “agreement.” If you do, fine. If you don’t, fine, but no more entry or cheap paper products, mayo, coffee and tires.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

The news report called it a 44 black powder firearm. Anybody read if it was loaded or did this guy commit suicide? The video didn't make him seem like a very active shooter.

I believe LEO's are exempt from that sign.

I see the no gun sign at the Costco I shop at, but for some strange reason I still think my personal safety is more important than a Costco membership.

In Michigan the public is permitted to buy liquor without a membership.

There is a federal law stating that active or retired LEO may carry across state lines and other things, bypassing any local law or state, for concealed carry. Called LEOSA. I would imagine federal law would trump a store policy, and private property rights.

My Costco isn't posted, and I've never seen one that was. I carry there every time I go.

One time I even saw two employees from a nearby LGS/range open-carrying there while eating lunch. Nobody paid them any special attention, including any of the store staff.

Usually not. For the most part the owner of private property can dictate whatever they will or will not allow to occur on the property.
