If both vehicles were going the speed limit that would be a 100 mph collision in my book.
It definitely attests to the safety requirements of cars today.

If she had a pocket full of rabbits feet, she’d have gone left and missed the truck (which would have hit the bus) or she would have gotten further right and missed the truck (again truck would have hit bus). Someone on the bus had the rabbits feet. I hope the car occupants make a full recovery.

It happens exactly like that. I had a guy cross the center line and hit me head on like this, probably about the same speed. I could have changed my oil from the drivers seat. It hurt. Just like this video I was amazed at how many people stopped and helped me not knowing what bad things could possibly happen by doing so. One lady took her coat off and wrapped it around me knowing it would get ruined because of the way I was bleeding. I told her not to but she insisted. A couple guys literally ripped my drivers door off to get me out. I never got a chance to thank any of them. After that day I decided I would never drive by a stranded driver.

Monday morning, on my way to work, turning onto the interstate, witnessed an MVA with injuries, truck & car hit at speed. Chevy Silverado ended up inches from my front bumper. Thought it was going to hit me.
I was the one who called 911, helped triage, stabilized the most serious injury (3 hurt), got permission from PD (knew most of them) to bolt, on the phone the entire time getting people set up, ended up beating the bus to the ER by a few minutes, got to say hello to the Silverado driver again - he was very confused. Mondays.
Interesting note - Driver had a gun in the car, in the door pocket. Off duty officer, just left shift, was next to me trying to help (while I was calmly telling him not to move the driver until I said ok), missed the weapon. Once I told him, he reached to take it. I had to explain to him to wait for someone on shift to take it, not to touch. Had no idea who the driver was, if the weapon was licensed, if any warrants, etc.. only takes a split second.
