Uh oh. The temerity to point out that little emperor Hogg is striding about naked. Left will be triggered and outraged. I expect Cathy Griffin will volunteer to trip the blade.

Leaked audio from a recent Louis C.K. performance revealed the comedian poking fun at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School students turned gun-control activists.

“I don’t know,” said the comedian. “They testified in front of Congress, these kids. Like, what the fuck. What are you doing? You’re young. You should be crazy. You should be unhinged, not in a suit saying, ‘I’m here to tell’ … fuck you. You’re not interesting cause you went to a high school where kids got shot. Why does that mean I have to listen to you? How does that make you interesting? You didn’t get shot. You pushed some fat kid in the way and now I got to listen to you talking?”

I’m not a big CK fan, actually I don’t find him remotely funny. But...he has a strong following and if he is going to be the ‘one’ to take commedy back to the days of ‘saying anything’ and the people who hate him can fuck off, then he’s got my support.

I don't find him funny either. Is telling some kid from the school to fuck off funny? If that's 'saying anything' what's the point? Does that make him 'edgy' or 'out there?' He sounds like a dick. I didn't find that girl who made fun of Sarah Sanders funny either. Maybe I just don't know what 'comedy' is these days.

The truth hurts. He may be a sexual deviant, but he spoke the truth.

He's absolutey right- these are know-nothing children who need to shut their mouths.

It can be, yes - especially if that kid's claim to fame is that he hogged up all the limelight and then made the news by not passing the mike to other students there who had just as much to say.

What he's saying is something many others here have said - being a victim and billing yourself as a 'survivor' doesn't make you deep, knowledgeable or a hero. It just makes you one of those who didn't get hit, which in and of itself was nothing more than chance.

Put it this way - the more clowns make fun of you, the better you look. Sarah Sanders doesn't have a thing to worry about because that girl doesn't know what 'comedy' is.

If they deserve to be told to fuck off, yes, it is. It's especially funny (and satisfying) when some children think they're the center of the Universe simply because they were in proximity to some tragedy, and then they get told off.
Fucking ridculous. Put these arrogant little egomaniacs from Parkland in front of me, let them spout their stupid shit, and I, too, would be telling them to fuck off.

And it is quite gratifying to hear someone in the publc eye speak the plain, naked truth, as did Louis CK. Screw these loudmouthed, arrogant, know-nothing little shits. Mind your own fucking business. Tend to what you know of this world, which wouldn't even fill a sewing thimble. You don't know shit, so just shut your mouths.

I saw a series of what appeared to be a cable tv series starring CK, which was my first exposure. I did find him funny, and some of the ideas he presented were very thought-provoking. I've personally expressed the ideas he verbalized in this routine, and I cannot criticize him for it.

He's had some funny bits that gave me a good laugh. Granted though I've only ever heard a handful of them through soundbites.

I must say though that this one about the Parkland School kids is my favorite.

I find his comedy very funny, and also agree with him on this.

Should we let a victim tell their story? Absolutely.

Should they be put on a pedestal, and their word now be elevated above others, or their opinion have weight only because of what happened to them? No.

If we're going to do it, then everyone who has the same experience as Hogg should also have the same influence. While there are a number of anti-gun puppets to come out of Stoneman-Douglas, there are what, 2 pro-gun voices? Have they really been given a fair hearing? No.

Hogg is actually an asset to the Republicans, because he and his "classmates" are ensuring that Gun Control will be an issue in the 2020 election. It will again be a boat anchor for the Democrats, as it will if Pelosi tries to do anything with it in the house.

I don't think C.K. will be damaged by this "controversy." Frankly, the way he handled his "indescretions" was more open and honest than pretty much any other celebrity I can think of.

Arc.

I do think he is funny, an pointing out that these near-victims have nothing particular to say about shootings is correct.

But he can't say that in public, and he should know it.

Sure he can. And he should.

It might hit him in the wallet, but I suspect that there are enough like-minded fans that it won't hurt too much.

We would go a long way in our society if we'd start calling a spade a spade, and stop coddling these supposed "victims".

I would encourage him to continue to do so.

The thing is, ol' Louis is damaged goods these days, and he may very well know that he can't say it, but he's in danger of becoming irrelevant. Maybe he'll end up on the comedy circuit and start emulating Doug Stanhope.

I don't give a hoot if you find it distasteful or funny. It true.

I've been close to tragedies where a woman and three children were killed in a totally avoidable way. I don't recall being asked to testify before Congress.

At best those children are political cannon fodder. They know nothing but that put in front of them to parrot. Their "ideas" are worthless. Moreover, why should they be given a silver-coated bully pulpit and not folks from the other mass murders?

How come li’l Hogg continues to get traction. I thought he publically said he wasn’t even there during the shooting, but jumped on his bike and rode to the school (3 miles?). Has reality been shit-Canned so the little asshole can be a hero?
