I bought that exact pair and it did not last a shift before going double. I bought a Steiner for $340 and have great low light performance and clear glass.

Well, they have a 4 star rating on Amazon with over 2500 reviews. And I'm fresh out of ideas for free Steiners. If you read "small binoculars for practically free" and immediately thought Steiner, I'm afraid you are destined to be disappointed in life.

The 2,500 reviews are not specifically for these binoculars. These reviews cover a whole bunch of different Bushnell models, so it's not easy to understand the rating for this model.

RHINOWSOAbout $75 for some cheaper Leupolds or Nikons is as low as I'll go with binos.
BTDT with this kind of junk for $20-30, utterly worthless and annoying.

Thanks ! Ordered a Trophy XLT 8x32mm And who I bought it from will get to my address by the 20th so the 22nd posting for the rebate is doable.

JimI found an online dealer and ordered the Trophy XLT 8x32mm For $59.99 and after the $40.00 dollar rebate I just mailed in, I paid just under ten bucks for a binocular with a retail of $129.00 at my local Bass Pro. I did very well indeed for a fog free, water immersion proof binocular. Thanks again for the heads up. Your one of the reasons this site rocks!

arfmelI received the Trophy XLT 8x32s and was pleasantly surprised at the quality. My wife has already comandeered them for her truck. She has a couple of pair of very expensive binoculars she doesn't leave in her truck-she won't worry about damage or theft of these much less expensive ones.

jimb888So now for the rest of the story. I have the highly rated Nikon Monarchs that I keep tucked behind the seat of the truck. For Christmas, as my son is starting to bow hunt, I offered him the choice of the Nikons, that were under $300, or these Bushnells (Bushnell Trophy XLT Bone Collector Edition 8x 42mm, Realtree Xtra Camo version) that cost $29. I said, take the best pair, don't worry about cost.
He chose the Bushnell's. Said they were better. I was stunned, and started to look for myself and compare one and then the other. They ran neck and neck, may have had a slight edge. I didn't have the Vortex's nearby, and the Swarskis are 15 x 50 or some such and not a direct comparison (and also too heavy and expensive to hunt with).
That's how a $29.99 bino beat one costing nearly 10 times as much. Bushnell for the win. Thanks again for the $40 rebate heads up honestlou!

My 3 year old Nephew would love a set of Bushnells for $2.59. He'd bounce a set of steiners off of my sisters travertine floors just as well as the $2.59 bushnells. I can live with him playing basketball with the bushnells!!!!!!!!!!
