Ninth Circuit, PETA and a Barrel O Monkey's. Nuff said. Place your clothes and weapons where you can find them in the dark. “If in winning a race, you lose the respect of your fellow competitors, then you have won nothing” - Paul Elvstrom "The Great Dane" 1928 - 2016

Idiots? You call him an idiot? You don't see many of those guys standing around the fence at the end of the runway at the beach to see what jet blast feels like. I assume you are referring to the photographer here. Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me. When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

Monkey carried Herpes B virus, aka. Monkey B viurs is lethal to humans nearly 80% of the time. It can lead to paralysis and death resulting from Rhesus scratches and/or bites, and there is no cure or effective treatment once symptoms are detected. These non-native animals are a real health hazard. People caused this problem but the monkeys will have to pay eventually when some idiot's kid or family member gets sick due to close contact that results in infection. I feel bad for the animals because they did create this situation. "Dhuey said the legal antics were more of a publicity stunt by PETA than a lawsuit. He quipped after the hearing that Naruto made a tactical mistake by not appearing in court. "It's like he doesn't even care," he said before walking away from cameras." If he doesn't care then PETA loses; If PETA argues that the monkey doesn't know better to show up as it is just 'otherwise engaged' then the show if indifference should give up all rights as indifference is tantamount to acquiescence. SMH, not a lawyer but stupidity is king there IMHO. I should be tall and rich too; That ain't gonna happen either

PETA must be sucking wind for money if they have to stoop to representing monkeys. "PETA's general counsel Jeff Kerr said after the hearing that the group plans to use money from the photos to protect monkey habitats and help people study the monkeys." PETA lies as well as CNN. _________________________________________________________________________ “A man’s treatment of a dog is no indication of the man’s nature, but his treatment of a cat is. It is the crucial test. None but the humane treat a cat well.” -- Mark Twain, 1902

Fortified with Sleestak |
PETA has a history with monkeys. Google Silver Spring Monkeys. Here's a link. IIRC the monkeys "rescued" were transferred to a facility in another state and ended up in worse conditions than when they left. Evidently it's kinda expensive to take care of animals.
