...I am seeing with new eyes. The Polish people are turning out to be just about the only ones in all of Europe with any common sense intact.

Take a look at this clip from German TV. Nothing exciting or Earth-shattering, but quite illuminating nevertheless.

Thanks for posting this Para. It helps explain why Trump decided to speak in Poland. That and the energy issue that they find themselves in regarding Russia and their history of fighting tyranny. I'm starting to feel a real kinship with the Polish people.

I believe that an overwhelming majority of people on both sides of the aisle know her to be correct. Getting some of them to admit it publicly and support candidates who will act accordingly may be another matter. Especially with the lying-ass propaganda machine "msm" spewing out garbage intent on destroying civilization as we know it.

Her clarity and resolve are a breath of fresh air; hopefully many here will follow, and be allowed to be heard by a broad audience.

A long time ago I read Michener's novel "Poland". Made me curious about the polish people. I think they will represent a rock in the cesspool Europe is turning into.

Read the book if you haven't - really one of his best.

They understand the difference between living under dictators both fascist and communist, and the capitalist system.
They've been caught in between other peoples battles and suffered badly.
Now they have been given an opportunity and seem to be making the most of it.

I'm married to a 100% Pole with 3rd generation roots back to Poland and as a result, I'm very close with a lot of Polish people and while it's not in the headlines, the Poles have been rock solid against the flood of immigrants and the need for economic independence. They have offered money to other countries to deal with the immigrant problems where the immigrants either are from or best situated to handle them.

From a military standpoint, Polish Special Forces (Grom) are considered to be up there with best in the world.

In short, Poland has their act together in terms of a strong economy and the true meaning of independence free of Russia. The Poles have very good memories of how the Germans killed many of them in WWII and how repressive Russia was.

Poland is a good country that we need to be friends with. Their government speaks with conviction in a clear and unambiguous ways with the one goal of seeing Poland continuing on her current path. They see Trump as mirroring their beliefs which is why they love him.

Don't forget that the Poles were the ones who first found out how to decrypt messages from the Enigma machine and gave that information to the Brits just before their location was seized by the Russkies.

Read about the Jewish community in Poland before WWII, pretty much the best place to be Jewish in Europe.

My wife's last boss left there during the 60's as a political dissident, he's pretty conservative to say the least. There are a lot of freedom loving, anti-communist folks over there still yet.

Don't forget that even though their military was still stuck in WW1 hardware wise they still took to the field to fight the German invasion. Maybe a bit crazy to charge tanks on horseback but it takes a set that clanks when you walk to do something like that.

It's my understanding they are one of the strongest democracies in Europe and growing at a good pace. They seem to have remembered the horrors of Socialism and Communism and are determined to never again be overrun and dominated.

I'm proud to say I'm fully 50% Polish with a hard-to-pronounce Polish surname that EVERYONE butchers. Big Grin

There have been no Mohammedan mass murders in either Poland or Japan. Neither will admit the crazy fuckers.

Seems pretty obvious.

That’s one of the first things I always remember when thinking back with chagrin on the whole Polish joke thing in the late 1960s. I don’t know what started that stupidity, and I’m ashamed to say I participated, but it was a good illustration of how it’s possible to get caught up in a fad that has no rational basis merely because other people are doing it.

Breaking the Enigma code was one of the most important reasons why the western allies were as successful against the Germans as they were, and I often wonder what would have happened if it had failed. The Poles were far from the only reason for that success, but they started it.

I was speaking to a European friend awhile ago and he commented on how interesting it was that Americans considered Poles to be less intelligent, while in Europe they are considered to be very smart, the intellectuals of the continent. I wonder how the whole "Polock" thing got started here.

I know the polish healthcare system is in shambles. Their docs don't make any money so a good percentage of them move to the U.K. To work. A few years back the government had to mandate pensioners to come back to work as their weren't enough docs to go around.

But no crazier than sending infantry on foot to attack entrenched machine guns across open ground, and not once, but time after time as the combatants in World War I did. Every nation has committed its military blunders, but such things don’t define a people.
The willingness of their men to obey such orders, however, may.
