Last threads I could find on this were from 2017 and 18. Just checking to see what the current suggestions might be.

Edit: Looking for a consumer, $50ish level tool.

Bluedriver was recommended to me here. I bought it and think it's pretty good.

OBD2 is not specific, basically a code reader. If you want to get into bi-directional (cylinder balance, door locks, etc.) you will need a scan tool. Even then OEM will most likely be needed to replace components that require flashing, especially the new vehicles.

I have one of these too. Pretty nifty.

Forscan is another for Ford, but requires something like a OBD MX to communicate.
