They actually have a Wayne Divco club in case you get tired of looking at the coal barges.

I went into our storage room last night looking around in the many plastic tubs we have for a book to reread. I found one too, Vince Flynn's "American Assassin." Got me to thinking, what else is in one of those big Tupperwares that would be fun to see again.

I found a photo album. Not long after we were married, my wife and I were offered jobs on a Santa Ynez area horse breeding and training farm through a couple we knew from the Arizona guest ranch where we were working.

I became foreman of the farm and worked closely with the veterinarian we had. The vet lived off farm and we lived on the farm. Almost all horses are born at night, the mares like it quiet. The farm had 100 brood mares and we were there two years, so I guess I delivered somewhere between 100 -200 foals.

One birth was recorded and I thought some of you might like to see it. The miracle of live birth and that first breath when that little foal becomes a terrestrial; I'll never forget it.

I'm actually afraid to go into my Fibber McGee's closet--no telling what would turn up in there. I have boxes in the garage that haven't been opened in more than 40 years.

The arrow I carved for Order of the Arrow (Boy Scouts). I know I’m better for having been in Scouting. Couldn’t count the number of times people ask “how do you know that stuff?” So often the answer is Scouting.

A canceled check I wrote to my father in 1979. He endorsed it on the back, of course. He passed in 1982. I still miss him every day.

I had the same toy gun Smile
