Thank you for that link, tomgun. I, too, had swapped a few emails with Mr. Bass. It's neat to see a photo -- I had a totally different image of him in my mind. Nice fella, I thought.

^^^ I'm another who had communication with Hal years ago. I was having shoulder issues and we discussed exercises to help. Another thing I remember was buying something from him in the classifieds and when I received the item, he had an included a very nice quality carabiner as well.
He was a good guy.

I ran into him a couple weeks ago at the Provo range. Talked about the cmp range that fell through in Payson.
Who was the federal “agent” who knew everything about everything? Seems he left shortly after criticizing a SF soldier about the way he was carrying his rifle.

That goes WAY back. Ole Ass Cheese himself.
For the record, Stenhammer is not his given last name. Stenhammer was his wife's name.
I was about to post the same picture until I saw Para posted it.

I’m remembering now how Hal Bass helped my aging mother when she was starting to have issues. He gave me some great advice and said he wished he was here to help her. Good guy who cared about people for sure. He was just an asshole in the classifieds! This message has been edited. Last edited by: tomgun,

Isn't that the German equivalent of "Battle-Axe"?

I don't-and I'm sure there are many that also don't miss him being around, but seeing some of these other names made me think of Countrygun.

After I booted him, I changed his CUT to "Banned for being a loud-mouth troublemaker"

Paragon or ParagonSig was her screen name, I believe. She worked at Disney. I recall she passed away a few years ago. She was always very nice in her posts.

Very nice lady. Wife and I adopted one of her cats, maybe ten years ago.
I had never been a cat lover, didn't dislike them, just didn't care about them one way or the other. Shadow changed that. She was a sweet cat.

I don't recall Paragon's passing, but remember her being fairly active here. Sad to hear.

Tony44? I'm certain his username was "tony(something)".
Good man. Last time we met was about six (6) or seven (7) years ago.

Damn I guess you’ve been around here awhile when you remember all these members who have died. I’m on borrowed time I think!

Thank you, Belwolf. Yes, Rottweilers.
A thing with me, I always called him Anthony. And not Tony. As in Michael/Mike, Robert/Bob, Francis/Frank...
I woke up today and thought of him. That's when I found out he died fairly recently. I hope and pray that his wife, Terry, and his kids are well.

He was an awesome guy. Never got a chance to meet in person but he sent me a kind gift when I graduated from the police academy 20 years ago and he also checked on our property in Florida after a couple hurricanes. So I would not have to 12 hours just to check them.
